Frequently Asked Questions

How is my Chauffeur Dressed

Your chauffeur will wear normally wear a smart suit but they will not usually be dressed in a traditional chauffeurs uniform with cap, gloves etc unless it is a "chauffeur" car

Our 1954 Riley is a period car and unless requested to wear something different the driver will be dressed in 1950's sporting style tweed, corduroy, brogue shoes & a drivers tweed cap.

What About the bridesmaids & Brides Mother? Good Question !!

We advise that if the driving time to the ceremony venue is more than 5 to 10 minutes in each direction then a second car is much better as otherwise they will arrive too early, probably before most of the guests.

If it takes only 10 minutes to get to the venue, it take 10 minutes to get back & another 10 minutes to get to the venue with the Bride. So at best the first run will be waiting for the second run for at least 30-40 minutes and the Bride may be in a panic if the car isn't back - & that's for a 10 minute run

BUT BEWARE It can take a much longer time than expected on the first run as there may be greetings of long lost relatives, serial photographers or other delays. The Petworth area is very rural with narrow lanes and all sorts of things on them !! (Deer, Foxes, Badgers, Tractors, Mud, Cyclists & Walkers & Chelsea Tractor drivers on a day out to name but a few) So we must consider a slow first run can mean a delayed Bride or if the weather is not good, a dirty car by the time the Bride travels.
